Waiting on Wednesday ~ Contemporary Edition

Waiting on Wednesday is hosted by Breaking the Spine.

Playing to Win (Play by Play, #4)
Cole Riley’s a hot headed football player who has put his career on the line with his off field behavior. Consultant Savannah Brooks comes on board to save his image—and to get his game on the right track. When two opposing forces collide, there’s bound to be sparks.
Why I'm Waiting?:  I've been hooked on this series from the very beginning.  I was a little bit lukewarm on book 3 but the first two books were WICKED hot!  I mean look at the man candy on the cover?!

 Something Like Normal

When Travis returns home from a stint in Afghanistan, his parents are splitting up, his brother’s stolen his girlfriend and his car, and he’s haunted by nightmares of his best friend’s death. It’s not until Travis runs into Harper, a girl he’s had a rocky relationship with since middle school, that life actually starts looking up. And as he and Harper see more of each other, he begins to pick his way through the minefield of family problems and post-traumatic stress to the possibility of a life that might resemble normal again. Travis’s dry sense of humor, and incredible sense of honor, make him an irresistible and eminently lovable hero.

Why I'm Waiting?:  I was instantly attracted to the cover and then I read the blurb and I had to have it.  My "brother by another mother" is in the military and so for some reason I'm drawn to stories that have men in uniform.

  1. I am soooooo waiting on Something Like Normal too! I actually had the e-arc for it but I missed my chance to read it! I was so upset with myself! But I did go out and pre-order it right when I found out what happened! Now I will have it at least the week of it's release, and it is only six more days till it comes out at least! Not that much of a wait! New Follower!!

  2. Playing to Win has a delicious cover! I've heard some good things about the series possibly from you. Some Thing Like Normal sounds interesting too. Coming back from the war sounds really difficult especially if your brother steals your girlfriend. I would beat the crap out of him LOL Thanks for stopping by!

  6. I'm not familiar with the first book (or the series), but it looks steamy. I have Something Like Normal in my TBR list.

    Thanks for stopping by!
